Records season-to-date; Q1/Q2 = quadrant records. The Q badge by a team = the quad this game counts as for them (opp rank + venue). ★ = NBA-watch prospects (click to open profile). O/D = top-25 offense vs top-25 defense. Times in CT.

About the NCAAB Slate

Every Division I game on the date, with both teams’ ranking and record, the quadrant the game falls into, and a leading player from each roster. It makes a three-hundred-game night navigable.

How to read it

Quadrant tells you what the game is worth in resume terms — it is a function of the opponent’s ranking and where the game is played, so the same opponent is a different quadrant at home than on the road. Records are shown overall and by quadrant, which is the difference between a team that has beaten good opponents and one that has beaten a soft schedule. The listed player is minimum-sample gated so a walk-on with one big night does not represent a roster.

Where the numbers come from

Schedule joined to team rankings, records and efficiency ratings for the season the date falls in, with a prospect flag when a roster carries a high-impact draft-eligible player. Game times are shown in Central.

Who it's for

For picking which games are worth watching or researching, and for reading a matchup in resume terms before looking at anything else.

What the College basketball stats mean
GP / MPGGames played and minutes per game.
REB CHCRebound chances — rebounds that were actually available to a player, not just the ones he grabbed. Useful for separating opportunity from result.
POT ASTPotential assists — passes that would have been assists if the shot had gone in. Measures playmaking without punishing a teammate’s miss.
USG%
therundown.gg · Men's college basketball · schedule + rankings
Usage rate — share of the team’s possessions a player uses while on the floor.
TS%True shooting percentage — scoring efficiency that accounts for two-pointers, three-pointers and free throws together.
ORtg / DRtgPoints produced and points allowed per 100 possessions.
NetRtgOffensive rating minus defensive rating.
DvPDefense vs Position — how much a defense gives up to opponents at one position, rather than overall. A team can defend well overall and still be the place guards go to score.
Allowed / Percentile / AdjustedThree ways to read the same defensive cell. Allowed is the raw per-game number. Percentile ranks it 0 to 100 across the league, where higher means an easier matchup. Adjusted shows how much better or worse players do against that defense than they normally do.
ColorsShading is calibrated to the college range, not the NBA’s. The same number reads a different color on the NBA board, so do not compare cell colors across the two sports.
