Each cell is what a defense allows to that position, shown as a rank and a percentile against the rest of the league. A high percentile means the defense is generous there — a favorable matchup for the offensive player. Sections split the board by phase so passing, rushing and receiving reads stay separate, and expanding a team shows the game-by-game log behind its number.

About NFL Defense vs Position
What each defense gives up, broken out by the position doing the damage. A defense can be strong overall and still be the softest matchup in the league for tight ends, and a league-wide ranking hides exactly that.
How to read it
Each cell is what a defense allows to that position, shown as a rank and a percentile against the rest of the league. A high percentile means the defense is generous there — a favorable matchup for the offensive player. Where the numbers come from
Aggregated from per-player game results attributed to the defense faced, ranked and percentile-scored across all thirty-two teams over the week range you select. Percentiles average ties rather than breaking them arbitrarily, so two identical defenses get the same score.
Who it's for
For fantasy start-and-sit calls and player research. The week-range control matters here: a defense that was generous in September may have gotten its injured starters back since.
What the NFL stats mean
aDOTAverage depth of target — how far downfield throws travel in the air.
CPOECompletion percentage over expected — how much better or worse a quarterback completes passes than an average one would on the same throws.
RYOERush yards over expected — yards above what an average back would have gained on the same carries, given the blocking and the defense faced.
YPRRReceiving yards earned for every route run, not just the routes that end in a target.
TPRRHow often a receiver is thrown to when he actually runs a route. Credits players who do a lot with few snaps.
YACYards after the catch.
YBC / YACOYards before contact and yards after contact — how much room the blocking created, and how much a runner earned once a defender hit him.
MTFMissed tackles forced — how many defenders a player made miss.
SEPSeparation — yards of space between a receiver and the nearest defender when the ball arrived.
CUSHCushion — how many yards off a receiver the defender lined up before the snap.
TTTTime to throw — seconds from the snap to the release.
