Rate-stat colorsREB%/OREB%/DREB%/STL%/BLK%/TOV% are shaded WITHIN position group — ranked against same-position peers (a guard vs guards, a center vs centers), since rebounding and blocks are position-dominated. AST% is the exception: it’s shaded league-wide (absolute), since playmaking isn’t position-gated — a 27% creator reads greener than a 13% connector regardless of position.

eFG%Effective FG% — field-goal % that credits a made 3 as 1.5× a made 2.

About the NCAAB Teams board

A Division I team index with ranking, record, quadrant results and efficiency ratings, and a full profile for any team — Four Factors, schedule, roster and tournament history.

How to read it

Efficiency ratings are per possession, which is the only fair way to compare teams that play at very different speeds. The Four Factors break offense and defense into shooting, turnovers, rebounding and free throws — they are what actually decide games, and a team can rate well overall while being badly exposed on one of them. Quadrant records show who a team has beaten, not just how often it has won.

Where the numbers come from

Team rankings, records and efficiency ratings for the selected season, joined to per-game results for the quadrant breakdown and to rosters for personnel. Conference and tier labels come from the same team reference used across the college boards.

Who it's for

For matchup research, bracket work and understanding why a team’s record and its rating disagree — which is usually a schedule question and sometimes a Four Factors one.

What the College basketball stats mean
GP / MPGGames played and minutes per game.
REB CHCRebound chances — rebounds that were actually available to a player, not just the ones he grabbed. Useful for separating opportunity from result.
POT ASTPotential assists — passes that would have been assists if the shot had gone in. Measures playmaking without punishing a teammate’s miss.
USG%
therundown.gg · Men's college basketball · team rankings + Four Factors + rosters
Usage rate — share of the team’s possessions a player uses while on the floor.
TS%True shooting percentage — scoring efficiency that accounts for two-pointers, three-pointers and free throws together.
ORtg / DRtgPoints produced and points allowed per 100 possessions.
NetRtgOffensive rating minus defensive rating.
DvPDefense vs Position — how much a defense gives up to opponents at one position, rather than overall. A team can defend well overall and still be the place guards go to score.
Allowed / Percentile / AdjustedThree ways to read the same defensive cell. Allowed is the raw per-game number. Percentile ranks it 0 to 100 across the league, where higher means an easier matchup. Adjusted shows how much better or worse players do against that defense than they normally do.
ColorsShading is calibrated to the college range, not the NBA’s. The same number reads a different color on the NBA board, so do not compare cell colors across the two sports.
