How to read this page

What the columns mean and how to read them
▶

Each row is one defense, each column a stat. Ranks or Numbers changes what the cells hold — rank 1 gives up the most of that stat to that position, the easiest matchup. Green means it gives up more than most, red less. How many games moves the sample between the whole season, the last 15 or 7, and a blend that counts recent games more. Click a team for the games behind its row.

How much each defense gives up to every player, stat by stat. Rank 1 gives up the most, so it is the easiest matchup.

About WNBA Defense vs Position

▶

What each defense allows by position, ranked across the league. A team can defend well overall while being the place opposing guards go to score, and a single team rating hides that.
