Milestones

Pick a stat and the board lists whoever is nearest their next stop, closest first. The stop is the next round number above a player’s current total, and the ladder is sized to the stat: home runs move in tens because forty is a big season, hits in twenty-fives because two hundred is. Need is how many more he has to add. Nothing on a row is a forecast — every number has already happened, so the board will not tell you whether a player gets there. Scope narrows it to the day’s lineups, marked Expected before a club posts its card and Confirmed once it has; on the pitching side, Starting Today narrows further to the arms actually taking the ball. Two strips sit above the table: Tonight is what someone could reach in that day’s game, and Just Cleared is what was passed in the last week. A third view, Clubs, covers the two-stat marks, where the weaker half is what decides whether a player gets both.
