Mock Draft

Six to fourteen teams, any seat. The other teams reach, chase runs and fill their own rosters, so no two drafts play out the same way.

How to Read This Page

What the columns mean and how to read them
▶

Pick a league size, a round count, a seat and a style, and the draft starts with every team ahead of you already on the board. When it is your turn, choose anyone available — the suggested pick above the list is what your chosen style would take, and it says why rather than just naming a player. Star anyone to queue them. Your roster panel tracks starting spots as you fill them, and the recent picks panel shows what the room has just done, which is usually the more useful of the two. Export your roster at the end.

About the NFL Mock Draft

A draft simulator for six to fourteen teams from any seat, run against opponents that behave like people rather than picking down a list.

How to read it

Pick a league size, a round count, a seat and a style, and the draft starts with every team ahead of you already on the board. When it is your turn, choose anyone available — the suggested pick above the list is what your chosen style would take, and it says why rather than just naming a player. Star anyone to queue them. Your roster panel tracks starting spots as you fill them, and the recent picks panel shows what the room has just done, which is usually the more useful of the two. Export your roster at the end.

Where the numbers come from

The other teams are not picking the highest-ranked player left. Each is given a style of its own and weighs four things: how badly it still needs a position, how urgently the remaining rounds force that need, whether a position is currently being run on, and whether a player is the last of his tier. Randomness widens as the rounds go on, so early picks are close to chalk and late ones are not. The draft order is a standard snake, and rosters are built from the same consensus board the Draft Rankings page uses.

Who it's for

For practicing a seat before a real draft, and for finding out what a strategy actually does to a roster. Running the same seat twice with different styles is the fastest way to see which one survives contact with a room that is not cooperating.
