NFL - Defense
Audited today · 27 of 32 agree with the published coordinator list · 2 explained
Rows are grouped by division and carry the head coach and the coordinator who calls the defense, flagged when either changed. The role matters as much as the name: on some teams the head coach calls it himself, and the board says so rather than assuming. Where a playcaller moved, his previous defense sits beside his current one on zone, two-high, blitz and pressure. Open a row for the full coverage mix.
1 new defensive playcaller · 1 arriving from another team
Head coaches are left off until a season is mostly played — the schedule fills that column in when the fixtures are published, so before then it can still name a coach who has already gone. The playcaller is maintained by hand and is current.
Who runs each defense, what changed from last season, and how a new playcaller’s previous defense played. It is the read for the first month of a year, before a new staff has produced coverage data of its own.
